Oct 05, 2004· Since you guys are better pros at auger motors then me How about a jiffy with a Tecumseh engine, model 30, that blows fuel out the air intake as much as it sucks in It runs great wide open when not under load I haven't used it on the ice yet, was starting it to test it and found fuel on my gloves after test running.

Jan 18, 2007· When I bought my Model 30 brand new in 1994 I had to take it to a Service Center to adjust the carb Since then I have done the carb adjustments as they have been needed and never looked back I press the primer bulb a half dozen or so times, slowly pull the rewind to get past the first big kickback, then pop it and let it idle.

Feb 18, 2004· I have recently aquired a older Jiffy model 30, 10" ice auger It will start but it wont stay running Also it is leaking gas from what I guess is the bowl on the carb There is a square plate with 4 screws with what appears to be a gasket betwen the cover and the Carb bowl The screws are tight I assume this gasket needs to be replaced.
